Innovation is everywhere. In 2007, we began podcasting and interviewing technology experts and innovators. In 2010, we rolled out our online magazine Techistan and social video Muntwo. We are media partner for hundreds of Earth's favorite empowering events. We hope you enjoy listening to our conversations here on DIDX podcasts.

About us: Super Technologies, Inc. was a dotcom startup in 1999 ... providing voice over dialup Internet services and Virtual Phone Lines (a service that enables people and organizations to have a local presence in any of up to 60 countries and be a local call to their VIP) via direct inward dialing and SIP.

In 2005, we started DIDX, enabling 10 telecoms to buy and/or sell phone numbers wholesale. By 2011, we now serve 18,000 wholesale IP communications companies on DIDX.

Conversations with Tech and Social Leaders

DIDX Audio Podcasts is a program devoted to the art and craft of technology and social leadership and inspiration. The show, created and hosted by the DIDX.net team since 1999, features interviews with real people who have accomplished things we want to share. They are of different nations, religions, careers, gender, and attitudes. Be inspired! And please recommend others for us to interview and let you eavesdrop on!

WordPL's Salma Jafri on Freelancing Successfully

  • WordPL's Salma Jafri on Freelancing Successfully
  • A few excerpts and summary¬†from the podcast interview with Salma Jafri, founder and CEO of http://WordPL.net:

WordPL is among the top 50 among freelancers on elance.com out of a category of 80,000 freelancers.

What really makes this entrepreneur proudest is when clients appreciate her company's work.

"The flip side of my business is that I try and help other freelancers or "would-be" freelancers to set up their own "work from home" businesses. When someone I have mentored starts earning online, and they send me a text message, email or screenshot showing their latest job and for how much ... that is just such a high," says Salma Navid Jafri, owner and founder of WordPL.

I mentioned that I like http://www.elance.com and also http://www.ideabounty.com. Throughout our discussion, I see that Salma and I have some things in common: the desire and joy of research, writing, and sharing with the public the results.

Salma shares, "I have a four-year-old daughter now. I often think that if I were to just take her out of school and go travel the world for a year, that might be the next ten years' education for her. I'm a big believer in experiences."

We discuss how travel and mixing with people of different languages and cultures guide us to be richer at hear.

Salma replies, "Social networking and the Internet allow even introverts to make friends all around the world. Get started just with small talk, just by finding a common ground. Make friends online, and that is a big plus for people who are shy about meeting people physically."

Mrs. Jafri explains the two categories of people who may benefit of doing business with her. One is small and large business owners who need content marketing services with a focus on the new kind of advertising. She believes that use information-rich content to reach the masses online.

Another category is freelancers. She provides courses, workshops, online products, e-books ... all in getting started with their own businesses ... especially in places like Pakistan. Here, we don't have Paypal. For some this is a huge hurdle. Salma shows in her course that people do not necessarily have to have Paypal to run an online business.

This entrepreneur is active in Twitter as salmajafri, Facebook, Youtube channel as salmajafri76, Linkedin, and her website is http://www.wordpl.net. Also listeners might meet Salma in person at ITCN Asia, a Karachi conference that attracts from 10,000 to 20,000 participants each year. Feel free to visit http://www.itcnasia.com.
